Let me tell you all what happened to residents from J.K.R. The people who stayed here in this piece of land before this building was erected, due to some dishonest committee leaders the residents here has been persuaded to leave. The residents which comprises largely from low income group and averagely educated at that time believed and trusted the irresponsible so called leaders and vacate the place.
No doubt the BN government helped the residents in some way. Like provide assistance in cash for moving out from here and RM 300 housing allowance. They find their own place to rent with a promise they will be offered a place in Taman Serina with a discounted price. 30% from actual selling price plus 5% bumi discount. Do they really enjoyed this offer or it only remains as a promise? Continue reading you will find out.
In between this something else also happened, some of the residents demanding a unit in PPR Jalan Zainal Abidin. To please these residents the BN government actually fulfills this request happily with two years tenancy with promise Taman Serina should be completed within this period.
Why I say happily? All the residents should be receiving RM 300 as a housing allowance, but then what happened? The rental in PPR Jalan Zainal Abidin is only RM 124 . Of course the government was happy and the person in charge of this have achieve a great deal. And finally Taman serina was completed and the people from JKR was offered a unit in Taman Serina Flat(not the condo) at a price of RM 40.000 and RM 69.000 .This is the actual selling price for both JKR residents and non JKR residents (plus minus of RM2.000) so the JKR residents don’t receive any privilege as promised. It’s ok. Now let’s look at what happened after the offer was made.
As I told you earlier the unit in PPR Jalan Zainal Abidin is only allowed for two years and with a promise Taman Serina will be completed within 2years. But the actual fact it took more than that. Why is the delay? No explanation. When the JKR residents receive the offer letter the project was already delayed more than six months. To shock the residents they received a warning notice claiming to pay for whatever period of stay more than two years. Again the residents were victimized and burdened. Whose fault is this? Why the residents have to pay for somebody else’s mistake. But they have no choice they paid. When they went to collect the key they were shocked again , they were asked to pay five months of maintenance fee before they can collect the key. This entire scenario actually burdened the poor Rakyat instead of getting some help. If the people really have the kind of money why they have wait and go through all the hassles.
